Our Mission
Our goal is to create a world class interdisciplinary research and doctoral training program focused on the acquisition of language and literacy.
We promote interdisciplinary research and education in the oral and written dimensions of language acquisition; these skills are essential for the creation of life- long competencies in language and communication. The center, which was launched in 2008, was formed from faculty across two colleges and 10 departments who's central interest is in the basic and applied research issues in language and literacy acquisition.
Students & Fellowships
RCALL is a collaborative research center that offers post-doctoral, graduate fellowship opportunities.
Undergraduate Assistantship opportunities are awarded to current students seeking to begin or continue research projects related to funded research under the supervision of faculty across all affiliated disciplines.
Graduate Fellowships are available to students accepted in doctoral program areas related to Research on the Challenges of Acquiring Language and Literacy. Program areas include degrees in the Colleges of Arts & Sciences and Education & Human Development.
